BIOGRAPHY

Jim Morris has been exhibiting throughout the United States for over twenty years. He received his MFA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and is an alumnus of the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. His work has recently been featured in exhibitions at the Pratt Institute at Munson-Williams-Proctor in Utica, New York; the Burchfield-Penny Art Center in Buffalo, New York; and the Urban Institute of Contemporary Art in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

He is the recipient of grants from the George Sugarman Foundation and the ED Foundation. Jim has also received several fellowships that include a summer Fulbright to Malaysia and Singapore, a Pollock-Krasner Fellowship, a NEA / Mid Atlantic Artist’s Fellowship, and an Individual Artist’s Fellowship from the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art in North Carolina.
